You can reduce spam login and registration to a bare minimum if you follow the steps below.

This is what happened to me. I created my WooCommerce store at Fruitfulujah.com.ng last year. I had some sell on my store.

However, things changed when I began to receive up to 50 fake registrations on my store in a day. I was so frustrated with it that I decided to remove the store all together. I’d done all I could possibly do to stop spam login and registration in WooCommerce to no avail.

I uninstalled my store because I could not figure a way out as fast as I could, to reduce spam login and registration in WooCommerce. If I knew what to do as fast as I wanted at the time, I wouldn’t have closed my store. However, I figured it out much later, so I reopened my store again.

Spamming is the act of sending unsolicited electronic messages to someone in the form of advertisement. In this case, I received numerous user registrations on my WooCommerce store per day.

Firstly, install and activate No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA for WooCommerce plugin by MailOptin Team.  It adds the No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA to WooCommerce login and registration form. It is quite easy to setup.

After you have done that, you are required to set it up before you use it. Go to your WooCommerce menu within your WordPress Dashboard and you will find the setup page for NoCAPTCHA.

You have to provide the Site key and the Secret Key which you can all grab at Google for free.

In the Label option, provide a name for the project so that you can easily remember it when you make reference. Then, go ahead and choose the reCAPTCHA type you like to use. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, they all work well in this case.

However, I like to choose reCAPTHA v2 and the invisible reCAPTCHA barge that works in the background. You are free to make your choice here.

Make sure you assign the domain name of the site you intend to use the Site Key an Secret Key by adding it to Domain option box.

Accept the reCAPTCHA Terms of Service and you good to go. Copy the Site and Secret Keys and paste appropriately. Remember to save your steps for it to take effect.

Before you go, you now have the option to chose where you want to enable CAPTHA on your WooCommerce site. You have only 3 options to choose from. Select the area you want.

For me, as you can see in the image above, I selected all three: Login form, Registration form, and the Lost Password form. One can never be too careful. 🙂

Click the Save All Changes button and you are set. Your site is now set to stop spam login and registration in WooCommerce.
